How do I setup my outgoing email server?

The quickest and simplest way to send your outgoing email is to use your ISPs outgoing email server and then put your own email address as the replyto address. This can also be quicker as you are directly connected to your ISP and their email server. Many ISPs such as Optus and Bigpond block the use of third party outgoing mail servers so you must use their service.

For example if you use Bigpond.com for your ISP, your email account with them might be yourname@bigpond.com. Use the same outgoing mail settings as you do for your yourname@bigpond.com account.

Some common ISP Outgoing Mail Servers are as follows - typically your username for these servers is your email account (i.e. yourname@bigpond.com) and associated password:

BigPond: mail.bigpond.com
Optus: mail.optusnet.com.au
iiNet: mail.iinet.net.au - or - mail.m.iinet.net.au
Westnet: mail.westnet.com.au
TPG: mail.tpg.com.au
Ozemail:smtp.ozemail.com.au

*We provide this list as a service to our customers but cannot guarantee that this list will always be up to date as ISPs may change things without our realising
