Yes you can - for various reasons (such as an advanced mail setup, an in house Exchange server or that they are just happy with their current system) a business might want to host their email separately to their web site.
To do this, you do not "redelegate" the domain name but you need to make the following request to the company who currently looks after the hosting of your email:
"Please point the A records for our domain name to 97.74.120.99"
Once the A record has been pointed to our server’s IP address your web site will be live.
